ArtCar: Midtown Global Market

By Jackie Varriano

Published on August 20, 2008 at 3:31am

Even though the summer of 2008 is lacking a traditional Art Car Parade, dry your tears—there are still a multitude of chances for you to feast your eyes on crowd favorites such as the Cork Truck. This Friday, the Art Cars will join Midtown Global Market's Family Night. Come hungry and peruse more than 50 vendors at the Twin Cities' premier internationally themed public market. Don't be afraid to taste the authentic Turkish coffee, pick up a challa, fresh lefsa, or get your hands on a live Dungeness crab. Besides the amazing food selection, family activities and events will include coloring and games for the kids, a family-friendly concert, and a 3-D slide show featuring the Art Cars (funky glasses provided). At least five of the popular Art Cars will be on display for inspiration or that perfect photo op. Go to www.intermediaarts.org or call 612.871.4444 for more information.
