Get ready for kitsch. At Splash Bash II at Trocaderos, the Village People, pop's original macho men, serve as a much-needed reminder of just how enduring campy, mindless dance music can be, especially when performed by men dressed as a cowboy, biker, cop, soldier, and Indian. The creators of classic dance and disco tunes including "Y.M.C.A.," "Go West," and "In the Navy" will be joined by New York rapper Cazwell and club performer Oryon. But the fun music nostalgia doesn't end with the Village People. RuPaul, the '90s' favorite drag queen, will also take the stage. The mold-breaking diva (and the world's first drag queen supermodel) rose to popularity and chart success with a love-infused public message and catchy dance pop songs including "Supermodel (You Better Work It)" and her hit VH1 talk show. Splash Bash promises more than just musical blasts from the past, though. It's also going to pack plenty of sex appeal. Thirty-five mostly naked male models will show off the latest swimwear fashions from popular designers. 18+.
