Vinnese New Year's Eve Gala Benefit

Why spend New Year's Eve stuffed elbow-to-elbow in a bar watching some giant ball of lights drop on TV when you can get dressed up and eat good food in a giant house? Chamber Music Society of Minnesota's gala offers you a classy way to end 2007. The swanky affair, sure to be the holiday's most elegant house party, will help fund the critically acclaimed chamber outfit, and will feature hors d'oeuvres, silent and live auctions, a game of heads or tails, and, of course, a chamber music concert. The gala's setting couldn't get much more lavish. Located across the street from the Governor's Mansion, the St. Paul College Club is not just another big old house on St. Paul's Summit Avenue—it's a well-preserved glimpse of early 20th-century aristocratic life.
