Zenon Dance Company : The Nutcracker According to Mother Goose
Published on December 05, 2007
Fresh off their masterful 25th anniversary concert, the Zenon dancers offer up a sweet holiday treat for the little ones with a smash-up of the Mother Goose tales and the Nutcracker ballet. The kids will delight as Jack and Jill, Wee Willie Winkie, Little Bo Peep, and Mary (complete with her little lamb) unwrap the gifts Mother Goose has left for them under the Christmas tree. As the characters don their new dancing shoes, each has an opportunity to dance out his or her story to the Tchaikovsky score. It's a fun and feisty twist on the traditional holiday theme, filled with the familiar faces, stories, and music—not to mention a few themes about sharing and joy that extend beyond the materialism of the season.
Saturdays, 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. Starts: Dec. 15. Continues through Dec. 22, 2007
