Melissa and JW Buchanan: Little Friend of Printmaking

By Jessica Armbruster

Published on October 24, 2007

Melissa and J.W. Buchanan's aptitude for brutal charm knows no bounds. Even Tijuana Skullfuck, the Milwaukee-based husband-and-wife team's depiction of a little magenta guy socket-fucking a retired brain holder, boasts a surreal cuteness factor equal to anything on Saturday morning TV, including Mary Ellen's Flip Flop Shop. Given the duo's prodigious poster output, we can only pray that First Amendment—just hitting its first birthday—somehow finds room for the pocket mirrors and mouse pads, and that some nice person brings cake. Opening reception 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, October 27.
