Heeb Salon: Urban Kvetch

By Jessica Armbruster

For those not familiar with Heeb magazine, the publication playfully describes itself as "the bastard love child of Emma Goldman and Lenny Bruce." For those who have no clue what that means, think Rolling Stone with a Jewish flavor. Aimed toward the cool kids, the magazine celebrates all things Jewish in pop culture, including music, movies, authors, and art, with a smile and wink. This Thursday at the Loring Pasta Bar, publisher Joshua Neuman stops by to chat about his job and the publication itself (this week's issue features Superbad's Jonah Hill lubing up a bagel on the cover), and to ponder contemporary Jewish identity.
