The BodyCartography Project: Holiday House

Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad of the BodyCartography Project travel the world performing and teaching, so it's understandable that they'd want to take a break from racking up the frequent-flyer miles. This site-specific project, "Holiday House #2," takes place closer to home—well, actually in their home—and each night small audiences will visit their duplex in the Powderhorn neighborhood for a piece that combines dance, film, video, and music with ordinary household activities. The title refers to the concept of how time and perception shifts, especially when we spend so much time in our homes during the holidays, away from the demands of life's schedules. There's also a more sinister element involving surveillance and the unexpected transformation of once-familiar spaces. Reservations are very limited, so be sure to book in advance.
